Fine weather to go apple picking

There is a very good crop of Empires which we will open up for picking tomorrow (Saturday).  There continues to be excellent picking for  Honeycrisp, Cortland, Macoun, Fuji, MacIntosh, and Gala.

If you have not yet come for Honeycrisp, now is the time to come – after this weekend there will be fewer for easy picking.

We bring up donuts from Mrs. Murphy’s on Saturday and Sunday.  Come early in the day before the crowd has built up and the donuts run out.

Good week for more apple picking

We had great turn out over the weekend.  There continues to be excellent picking  for  Honeycrisp, Cortland, Macoun, Fuji, MacIntosh, and Gala.   Come enjoy the orchard without the crowds.

Mid Season apples are ready !!

Honeycrisp, Cortland, Macoun, and Fuji are now ready for picking – crop is excellent for each of these varieties.  McIntosh and Gala are also excellent.  There are some Ginger Gold still out there, but they will not last much longer.

Different from other varieties, Honeycrisp ripen in stages on the same tree – so pick the red ones and let the green ones stay and they will ripen soon.  Ripest fruit is on the south side of the trees.
