Honeycrisp, Cortland, Macoun, and Fuji are now ready for picking – crop is excellent for each of these varieties. McIntosh and Gala are also excellent. There are some Ginger Gold still out there, but they will not last much longer.
Different from other varieties, Honeycrisp ripen in stages on the same tree – so pick the red ones and let the green ones stay and they will ripen soon. Ripest fruit is on the south side of the trees.
